About BettingHub Africa and the way each country page is built

About BettingHub Africa in one line: a betting information site with a separate address for each African country it covers. On each country page the ranking of partner bookmakers, the regulator's register, the tax on winnings and the week's odds sit together in the local currency.

Where the figures come from

Every licence number comes from the regulator's own register, read on the date given in the page sources. Those registers belong to the Gambling Regulatory Authority in Kenya, the LSLGA in Lagos, the Gaming Commission of Ghana, the Gaming Board of Tanzania, the NLGRB in Uganda, MAGLA in Malawi, the MINAT in Cameroon and the provincial boards in South Africa.

Every offer comes from the operator's own promotion page for that country. An offer without a published rollover is shown with its headline only. Tax rates come from the Finance Act or amendment in force, named with its year.

The odds board is fed each day from a football data service that covers the home leagues of each market. Where a figure could not be found, the field stays empty.

The brands in each ranking are affiliate partners, and the order is the partner order of the site. A bet-now link passes through this site's visit route to the partner's page. The site earns a commission when a reader opens an account that way.

Local bookmakers on each register are listed for licence checking without links. The licence a brand holds in that country, local or offshore, is printed beside its name. The date on a page changes only when its text or data has changed.
